How do I renew a domain?

Turn on the Auto-renew toggle in your domain's control panel and your domain will renew automatically before it expires — no manual action needed.

The recommended way to keep a domain active is to enable Auto-renew. When it's on, your domain renews automatically as it approaches its expiration date. You can see the auto-renew status for every domain at a glance in the Auto-renew column of your My Domains table, and you can change it any time from the domain's control panel.

  1. Go to My Domains in your dashboard. The Auto-renew column shows ON or OFF for each domain so you can spot any that need attention immediately.
  2. Find the domain you want to manage and click Manage to open its control panel.
  3. In the Overview tab, under Controls, flip the Auto-renew switch to ON.
  4. While you're there, check the Expiration date and Days remaining fields so you know exactly how much runway you have.
★ GOOD TO KNOW

Renewal pricing varies by domain extension (TLD) — there is no single flat rate. You can see your domain's current expiration date and time remaining directly in the control panel. There is no manual "Renew now" button in the dashboard at this time, so keeping Auto-renew turned on is the right move.
