What do I need from Apple and Google?

An Apple Developer account ($99 a year, paid to Apple) and a Google Play developer account ($25 once, paid to Google), plus a key from each.

  1. Apple: join the Apple Developer Program. In App Store Connect, create a Team Key with the App Manager role. Copy the Issuer ID, Key ID and Team ID, and the contents of the key file, into Setup, Mobile app, then press Save Apple key.
  2. iPhone push: create a push key at Apple too. Add its Key ID and contents under iPhone push and press Enable iPhone push. It is a different key from the App Store one.
  3. Google: create a Google Play developer account. To sell inside the Android app, connect Google Play in Setup, Mobile app, by pasting the service account file Google gives you.
Good to know

Apple and Google sometimes take a few days to approve a new developer account. Start early.
