Read the license, not the pitch.
Export the whole app on every plan: your pages, your data, and your members, passwords intact when you include them. It runs on standard Node and Postgres, so if we disappear tomorrow, your app doesn’t.

What do I own when I export my app?
Everything you built. Packed to go.
One export holds the whole working app, not a picture of it. Take a copy any day you like, on any plan, and hand your developer a real project.
- Your pagesEvery page, with its titles and search tags baked in, so it keeps what it ranks on.
- Your dataEvery record in every collection.
- Your membersEmails, profiles and roles. Their passwords too, if you include them.
- Your filesEvery upload, still private to whoever could see it before.
- Your paymentsCheckouts and subscriptions on your own Stripe account, with the payment history.
- Your schedulesReminders and recurring jobs, still on the clock.
- The engineThe same Fair Source engine your app runs on here.

Does my app need Lynqly to run?
One command. No call home.
On any machine with Docker, one command starts your app with its own database. Or run it on any server with Node and Postgres. The export never calls back to us.
- A Lynqly account
- Our servers
- A paid plan
- Our permission
Will my customers have to reset their passwords?
Same customers. Same passwords.
Include passwords in your export and every member comes across with theirs, still stored scrambled the way it was here. They sign in on your server with the password they already use. Nobody gets a reset email.
Including them is your choice. That file then holds your customers’ logins, so you confirm you’ll look after it first. Leave them out and members come across with their email, profile and role, and set a new password.
Is the engine open source?
Fair Source today. MIT in two years.
No, and the difference is written down with a date. The engine your app runs on is Fair Source, so you can read every line of it. Then each release becomes MIT two years after it ships.
Use it, read it, change it, run it for your business. Just don’t use it to sell a competing product.
From then on, that release is under the plain MIT license.
What happens to your app if your builder shuts down?
Any builder can close. Including us.
In May 2025, an AI app builder backed by one of the world’s biggest tech companies, with hundreds of millions of dollars raised, told its staff it would enter insolvency. Funding is no promise that a builder will be around next year, and that goes for us too.
So before you build anywhere, ask one question: if you closed tomorrow, what would I be holding? Here is our answer, in writing.

Almost all of your app leaves with you. A few things can’t, because they run on our accounts. Every export lists the ones your app uses, in plain words, with what to do about each.
Payouts to other people selling through your app run on our Stripe platform account. Your own checkouts are not affected.
They belong to the phone app we published for you. Access your members already bought does come along.
